Judging Process Steps

  1. Judging Criteria:
    • Degree of Innovation ………………………………………………..20%
    • Potential Impact on industry and economy …………………………….20%
    • Readiness for commercialization (prototype, business plan) …… 50%
    • Presentation ……………………………………………………………………….10%
  2. Deans of all faculties review projects from their departments along with their respective HODs.
  3. Each dean to select maximum 20 top projects from their faculty. following above judging criteria.
  4. Selected projects from each faculty are then sent for judging using same criteria to experts from relevant industry (relevant to each faculty domain). Maximum of top 5 projects from each faculty domain are identified at this stage.
  5. Meeting is setup among all academia (Deans, HODs) from all faculties and industry judges together to identify overall top 10 innovation projects with high commercial potential.
  6. Project teams and faculty in charge of top 10 innovation projects are then asked to prepare presentations (using PowerPoint template) along with the display of prototypes (if any) for the final event day.
  7. List and brief description of top 10 projects are sent to DICE Foundation team for their review and publication at DICE foundation website.
  8. Top 3 winners are selected by diverse team of judges from academia and industry on the final day after listening to presentations from top 10 teams.
