KARACHI – Dow University of Health Sciences in collaboration with DICE Foundation USA, held 2nd All Pakistan Innovation Event at Expo Center Karachi. At the event there were more than 70 health related Innovations ranging from Indigenous Pacemaker to Honey-based oin
tment to heal burns were displayed. The Innovations came from 25 Universities across the country. There was a huge participation of health industry, businessmen and entrepreneurs in the innovation event.
The highlight of the event was two pitch sessions, in which several teams with implem
entation ready projects from DUHS-DICE Health Innovation Center presented their products in front of entrepreneurs and businessmen attending the event. A total of eight (8) projects from various institutions were funded in those pitch sessions. This pitch activity was named as DICE Sharks’.
At the occasion, Founding Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Masood Hameed Khan bestowed a title of ‘Father of Innovation’ to Dr. Khurshid Qureshi, Founder and Chairman of DICE Foundation USA, for his services rendered to nation for promoting Innovation culture in the country over the last 10 years in various required fields like health, energy, water, agriculture, textile and IT etc. Now recently they have also launched another platform of DICE Creative Art and Media with same intentions.
